Add items with a spreadsheet

We support CSVs and Excel files

Uploading a spreadsheet is a great option if you already have a list of items or want to add many items at once.

Spreadsheet Layout

We recommend starting with our spreadsheet template.

Your spreadsheet should be formatted like this:

Room

Cuisinart Drip Coffee Machine

See the Spreadsheet Column Definitions below, as some fields are optional.

Spreadsheet Column Definitions

  • Room – The room the item was in (we organize items by room)
  • Description – Be descriptive and include as much detail as possible, including brands and model numbers
    • If you have a Sony X90 4k television that’s 55 inches:
      • ✅ Good description 55” Sony X90 4k TV
      • 🙅‍♀️ Bad description TV
  • Age – How old the item is, in years (for example: 1, 0.5)
  • Quantity – How many of the item there were
  • PriceOptional – The price for a single item
    • We recommend including this when possible, as it greatly improves the claim process
  • StoreOptional – Where the item was purchased
  • ConditionOptional – One of: New, Like New, Average, or Broken

Price and quantity

If you’re including a price, enter the price for one item, not the total.

For example:

  • If you had 5 items worth $100 total
  • Enter Price = $20
  • Enter Quantity = 5

This helps keep everything accurate.
